I'm serious. I don't have the time and money to constantly watch movies, TV and the latest music.

When I was a kid I was more up to date on this stuff, but now I just don't have the time and money. As a result, I am often clueless whenever people make references to something in a movie or in a television show. Of course, this is not to say that I NEVER watch movies or TV (I've watched a ton of movies actually, just ones that never seem to come up in discussions), I just don't do them often.

If you are around my age (20-something) and consider yourself savvy when it comes to pop-culture, I would like to know:

* How often do you watch movies? Old ones? New ones?
* How many regular TV shows do you watch? How often? How many hours a week would you say you watch TV?
* How much music is in your music collection? If you don't know right off the bat, estimate. How often do you go about adding new songs?

Finally, how much would you say you spend on seeing movies and buying new songs in an average month?

I know this question seems like a joke and I am half joking, but I AM curious (and half serious). LOL.

I'm 28 and have been a mother and wife for the last 9 years.....I don't have alot of extra time to watch movies or listen to music (that isn't kid friendly). I do make sure to watch Mad Men every week and I do youtube music while I'm cleaning but it's mostly older stuff. When I was in high school that's what we did (movies and music) and I just don't have the time anymore and my priorities changed.

Since this is one of those years where pop culture just sucks, I 'm not paying it too much attention.

I'll watch movies (I mean, I want to see 'W.') but only if I want to see them, the name looks intresting, or it's on cable.

On TV, I'll look at CNN and Fraiser. That's about it.

139 songs on my MP3 player. 11 of them are from one group. 4 are from one girl, and the rest are just intresting and random songs I like.

I don't buy my songs. I find the music video on youtube and rip the song off of it.

Perhaps 20 dollars on movies?

I'm 24 and am pretty out of touch with pop culture, but it doesn't bother me too much. Often times, I try to shift conversations towards things that interest me more and seem to have a lot more substance than what Brangelina or whoever is doing this week. I do keep up on the news from day to day, but not necessarily with all the latest movies and television shows. I have a few shows - South Park, Simpsons, and most anything on the History or Travel Channels - that I keep up with, but other than that I don't try too hard to watch television or movies unless they really, really catch my eye or I hear really good things about them from people whose taste I really trust.
