How do you put download ringtones and wallpapers ect... to your phone?

ok.. how do you put download things to your phone? i have a t-mobile sidekick and i want to know how you put downloaded stuff to your phone like wallpaper and ringtones and etc.. thanks for the help! :D btw this is my first time D:
