how do you hook up power wire to a fuse in the fuse box?

im putting leds in my interior and im going to put the wire in the cig. lighter fuse i know where the fuse is,so how do i put my hot wire in it,do i just twist it around one of the prongs and plug it in or what?
please answer someone
