from the internet? Ok I just got the incognito from sprint and am dying to make my own ringtones rather than those catchy default melodies and tones. I have never done this before so I'm willing to try. My friend's service is verizon and has offered me some advice, but none of it's working.
According to him he said to use the Audacity software to edit a song and create 15-20 sec. mp3 sound bits for a ringtone.
Then "Export Selection" and save to a name. After, send a text to your email from your phone so you know your phone's email address. ([email protected] what im using)
Then from your computer send an email to your phone with the attached mp3 soundbit. (with of course the soundbit being less than 200k)
Well....I'm stuck right here because everytime i send an email to my phone i receive and error message looking like this;
Technical details of permanent failure:
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 552 552 #5.3.4 message size exceeds limit (state 18).
I'm at a total loss in what to do/try from here. I've tried myxer.com and created ringtones successfully but you HAVE to download them via internet through your phone. So...if there is someone that has had success in sending a text message/email attached with a mp3 ringtone, and that you DONT have to download it from the internet using data services through sprint....I am totally all ears for your advice. I appreciate for your time and advice.
