How do the religious manage to keep their faith as their ideas are debunked

by the educated? Many events of the past, including the threatening of Galileo by the Roman Catholic Church in 1632, for his writings on how the Earth rotates around the sun, many others who have been put to death by the religious for their views on reality. Now we have evolution, which has been proven.

I simply want to know how it is that the religious keep their faith, though everything they 'learn' turns out to be inevitably debunked, or contrary to other dogmatic writings of said religion.

Well said, 'fisty'... Catholicism has evolved (mutated) into Christianity, and Christianity mutated into a number of gangster type cults who make threats against the government.
 
Well, what I believe (GOD's WORD) has never been debunked.

How do you atheists feel about that the natural world doesn't look like it's been thrown together by accident?
