I'm studying culture in school and i think it's very interesting. It would help if you were from a different country to answer my question but you don't have to be=)

i'm from canada and for a long time their was an american image of bullyishness and stupidity and fat people everywhere, but since obama i think it's more positive because everybody loves him. the fat people thing is still the same.

i remember once i went to the usa and i looked in the cereal aisle and there was a box of cookies they called cereal called 'cookie crisp'. i couldn't believe cookies and milk was breakfast in america lol.

That depends where.
Northeastern Urban areas-Ghetto's, Ethnic Districts(Italian, Hispanic, Black). Beggars, busy people. More artsy, street dwellers, specialty shops and restaurants.
Northern Suburbs-More laidback, rich snobs, middleclass, subdivisions, trailer rednecks, full of shopping, commercial chain areas, malls, parks, amusement parks. People are typically white, asian, mideastern or hispanic. Small black minority. Typically Catholic or Mainline Protestant
Rural Areas-Usually white people. a couple chains, and little stores. Less to do. Typically suburban or redneck.

Southern areas-Southern Rednecks, black soul population

Coastal Areas(Florida, California), typically a more tropical attitude. Can be redneck, nordic and hispanic.)

Southwest-White and hispanic.

Plainstates-Rural cornfields.

Dont forget Native American Influence.
