How do I record piano to my laptop with a MIDI USB cord?

Ok so I'm trying to record what I play on my piano to my laptop. My piano is a Yamaha Clavinova and my laptop is a Dell Inspiron. I have a Midisport Uno MIDI USB cord. The MIDI in and the MIDI out lines are both plugged into the piano and the USB is in my computer. It says the cord is connected but I can't find out how to record the piano to the laptop. Someone please help!!!
 
you need to use DAW (digital audio workstation) there are many available, alot free. this site can help you and has alot of knowledgeable users. http://homerecording.com/bbs/

i like to use ableton live. it's expensive, but you can get a free trail version
