How do I put music on my Kyocera MP3 player?

I have the kyocera G2GO, and I just bought the USB connection cord to "download" things easier to my phone, such as the music for mp3 player thats built into this phone.....I bought the cord specifically for that, BUT, my phone and computer do not recognize each other.....i tried to shutting it off, turning it back on....nothing....its just charging it. plz help...HOW DO I PUT MUSIC ON MY MP3 PLAYER?????!!!!!!
