I have an M-Audio 88es keyboard. It is just a simple midi controller keyboard. I want to play it through my computer through the USB function.
What is the program that I need to do this? I can already do this through Finale and have found some fancy programs, some of them even for free.
But I am looking for the simplest program possible. Something small and fast. I don't need to play along with tracks, I don't need to record, I don't need beats, etc. All I need is it to convert the MIDI into sound, maybe let me pick the MIDI channel. If it has a metronome I wouldn't complain. I just want something small, fast, simple, and free.
What will do this?
I'm on Windows XP, btw.
It picks up signals - I can hear it in Finale.
But I want a small and fast tracking program I can run, not Finale.
