How do i know my remote wire is working on my amp?

I just installed an amp and subs. I think i have my remote wire connected right in my head unit. The amp turns on when i start the car and turns off when i turn it off. Could any other wires in my head unit do this or did i get it right?

the blue wire with the white stripe is the remote wire should turn the amp on when you turn the deck on
