hello i recently bought 2 10 in kicker comp subs that are
# 10" Single 4 Ohms Competition Series Subwoofer
# Power Handling:

* Peak: 300 watts
* RMS: 150 watts

and i bought a mono block amp (hifonics brutus bxi608)
the specs are
# Brutus BXi Series Class AB Monoblock Car Amplifier
# RMS Power Rating:

* 4 ohms: 150 watts x 1 chan.
* 2 ohms: 300 watts x 1 chan.
* 1 ohm: 600 watts x 1 chan.

when i hook up both of them to the amp i dont get that much thump, but if i only hook up one then it hits harder. whats going on?

make sure ur wiring the 2 subs in parallel so that the amp sees a 2 ohm load. that way u'll get 300 watts RMS from the amp, which matches perfectly since the the subs are 150 RMS each. i think ur wiring them in series, which causes the amp to see an 8 ohm load, which is why they seem underpowered.

twist both + together and both - together on your subs and you will be at 2ohms also use a slotport box it will slam.
