How do I get my Sansa Mp3 player to play in my car?

I bought a car adapter for it that chargers it and was supposed to play the music for it too through the radio but I can't find any radio channels that picks up my Mp3 player. Is there a setting on the mp3 player I should configure with or what?
 
It depends on what kind of adapter you got. If you got one that plugs into your deck with an aux cable then go to aux mode to play it. If you dont know how to get to your aux mode then just push the button that says source and it will scroll through all the sources you have. But if your adapter is the kind that plugs in through your tape deck then it should automatically come on when the tape is inserted.
