I bought a 2 1/2 pound bone-in turkey breast. I would like to cook it in the oven but I don't know for how long or at what setting? Do I just rub it with butter, salt and pepper? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Cook it for 1 1/2 hour at 350...I like to place it in a hot oven of 450 then reduce the heat once I put the turkey in it helps brown the skin..
when ever baking meat..adding veggies like carrots, potatoes, and celery to the pan makes for an easy meal..you have both your meat and side prepared at the same time..If you wish to make gravy.
remove the Turkey to a serving platter and pour the juices into a measuring cup and add enough water to equal 2 cups.
in a medium sauce pan melt 5 T butter...add 5 T flour and cook for 1 min over a med low heat..slowly add broth while you stir...let cook until thick..

Not sure on time and all but this website will help you. I always roast mine at about 375 for 45-1 hour or until juice runs clear. The package may tell you how long to cook. Most definitely rub the skin (top and under) with butter and seasoning and be sure to cover with foil and the uncover the last 15-20 for color. Good Luck.

This trick also works with a whole chicken too.

Roasted is best. I use 2 - 3 tablespoons of butter and add seasoning to the butter, like oregano, thyme, pepper, salt and garlic powder. Mix well and place under the skin, smush around as best you can. Roast in a 325 degree oven for about 1 1/2 - 1 3/4 hours. I roast uncovered and rub olive oil over the meat.

325 degree oven.
30 minutes pes pound for thawed (1 hour and 15 minutes)
45 minutes per pound for frozen (1 hour and 50 minutes)
these cooking times are approximate. best way to know for sure is to use a meat thermometer. should be 160 degrees in the thickest part of the breast.
I like to season turkey and chicken with store bought lemon pepper seasoning. Just rub olive oil or melted butter all over the turkey breast and sprinkle with lemon pepper.
Place on a rack in a roasting pan, cover loosely with foil and bake for times it says above.
Take off foil for last 20 minutes to brown.
