How do I blend our 2 cultures?

I looked at a bookstore for information about Muslim weddings and traditions. I am converting to Islam and we don't want to get married at the mosque. We want it very small and intimate - maybe 20 guests at the most. This is my second marriage and his first. We just got engaged and we plan to marry around Spring Break or in May once school is out. What do you suggest for an officiant and locations and blending of the two cultures?
Also, my fiance is from Uzbekistan. I am from America.

Well, I don't really have any background in Islam, so I can't really help there.
But what I can suggest is talking to his mom or a sister or an aunt that can tell you what is customary at a Muslim wedding. Make sure you have all of the important things that they bring up and then add in a few things of your own, like if you want a unity candle or something like that. Also, is there a particular dress that a Muslim woman should wear? Will you wear this or a wedding dress?
Just make sure that since you are converting that you don't step on any toes with his family and thir culture.

An outdoor location would be great I think! No matter the religion, everyone can appreciate God's (or in his case, Allah's) beautiful creations. If that doesnt work for where you live or whatever, a museaum or close historical location would be great!
A Justice of the Peace would be an idea to officiate since they really have nothing to do with religion. But, if you are converting, you may want or need to have a Muslim clergyman preform the nuptuals.
