How do i appear to be more cultured and refined?

I already have the mind for it. I'm studying French, philosophy, religion, some political theories....But my problem is LOOKING like I do. Any suggestions? Im not really big on suits, but is there something casual, yet nice that I could wear? Something that lets people know I am intelligent, yet easy going, yet I should be taken seriously?

what the hell is that suppose to mean anyway?

if ur american, travel around europe for a bit, i've got loads of american friends who do that n claim they are now 'more cultured' than the other americans

to be honest, i think they already are cultured, they just lacked the belief that they were

as for dressing, mix n match, like mix a peacoat with jeans, or sweater with trousers, etc etc
