It's not that I want religion to be taught in public schools. It's more that I want to negate the propaganda put forth by the liberals. It's more that I want to take away their dominance in this area. I'd prefer to have a rational discussion where both sides are starting at the same level, rather than having liberal assumptions disseminated by the MSM, Hollywood, and the public indoctrination camps known as public universities.
I agree that the pendulum will swing back. There is no doubt about that. They spend their way to power and back out of power. But, that;s not what I'm asking. Even when Bush was president the liberals had control of the culture. The public education system preaches the liberal cause. The MSM does the same. And, Hollywood certainly does its part.
So, we are relegated to private schools and Fox News; and, if we want to be entertained by movies, we have to weather the constant assaults on our ideology.

I've been to three different universities (U. of Georgia for undergrad, Michigan State for law school and now at the U. of Arkansas to finish up my law degree); so, I've seen the madness up close. It's funny how they feel like they must educate you. It's funny to see the sheep want to become the shepherd to justify their existence as sheep (or former sheep).
I understand what you are saying, Alex. However, let me point out a few things. There a many definitions to Communism and Socialism. Scholars disagree with other on the terms. Marx's definition of Socialism is quite a bit different than what the definitions I've heard.
Second, you are missing the point. Your "sound bite theory" presupposes that liberals are convincing people by logic and not by tax-payer funded propaganda. Your ideology is spread by the MSM, Hollywood, and the indoctrination camps.
Third, concerning the wire-tapping program, you guys always forget to mention that they wiretapped suspected terrorists calling INTO the US. You think that national security is so easy.
Finally, you honestly didn't use the whole "black and white" argument did you? Apply that logic to national security and we can talk. That is, these issues are not so black and white. There was some legal authority for what Bush did.
Winning the culture war is different than winning back the Senate or the House or the White House.
