Simply by believing in there our the World's heritage, im mixed race and I see myself as more black/African American more than white than white my mum's side of the the family is white,well the slave trade was not that long ago when you really think about it is well only 5000 years i know seems long but work it out.
It was simply just passed on in the Generations and they knew blacks where from africa so that also kept it alive.
