yeah. i agree w/ u. i think it's stupid. we r all just ppl no matter our sexuality. yahoo is just stupid that way.
Why does it matter?
Do you seriously think someone will be swayed in his opinion on the LGBT community simply because of the placing of this group.
Who knows maybe it could happen. If it did it would be one or two humans out of billions.
Yet happen or not I assure you that any loss due to that placing, we have made incredible gains in our fight, thanks to groups like this been on line.
Every time a bigot person post a negative comment and we post comments that show how lame their thinking is, there are hundreds of kids reading out comments, we are showing them that they are as valuable as any other person.
Rather than the bigots achieving anything they are helping us as they provide the homophobic comments/opinions and we provide the counter arguments.
This is why I never report bigot raciest post. Instead I use them to show how small minded the posting persons line of thinking is.
I do this because it is this sort of thinking that people are subjected to say in the work place etc, so us showing how to deal with bigots is a positive. Even if that is just us showing the flaws in the arguments.
Remember, we don't need to win the bigots over here on line, we just need to neutralise the attack and show other vulnerable type people that everyone is an important valuable person. I can assure you that over the years, none of the replies I have posted have been for my own gain.
I am astounded at the number of people who contact me directly to say thanks simply for me providing a counter/logical argument for bigot comments.
