I would like to build an audio system , with car audio components ie; 4x 4inch speakers, 1x subwoofer, using a 4 channel amp and a mono-block amp. I would like to have all of this in some sort of an enclosure of course with the amp's, speakers and sub all visible. I was thinking something simple like just a box each side 500x500mm. I need some way of powering the system and i am unsure of how to do so. I could just power it off a car battery and charge it every now and then. But i would like to some how be able to plug it into a wall while its on as i hear charging the battery with the system hooked up to it would damage the components. I had the idea of using a PC power supply to power each amp and the whole system. Would this be possible? Could anyone help me with this problem?
I also need advice on how to construct the box. More so what materials to put in it like subwoofer boxes do.
