How can i convince my dad that the kawasaki ninja 250r is the best beginner bike??

Hey guys..! this has been a case with no ends for the past few months. I'm craving for a new bike mainly to get to school n back. I also believ that this bike is cheap to maintain, and cheap to purchase of course. I'm 16, and i know that there are others out there my age with bikes like these anyway! I have to get this bike, but my dad is SO hard to convince. If he find the SLIGHTEST negative comment bout it on the internet he will use it as an excuse not to buy it. Even if someone told him that the handlebars easily fall off! lol Believe it or not.
So yeah, i'm looking for ways to convince him to buy it. Or can someone at least give me the Pros n Cons bout it.

The Honda Rebel is a better beginner bike than the Ninja 250R. This is what the instructors use at most motorcycle safety schools.

A 16 year old having a motorcycle is a privilege, not a right. Also, he is the one paying for it, not you. So he has the final decision on what to buy.

Accept what he buys you and say thank you. Appreciate what he has done for you and take care of your bike.

When you are over 18 and are living on your own, buy any bike you want.
 
Best bike for school and back? Short distance. Low speeds. Need to carry books and stuff. And you think a 100 mph Ninja with no storage capacity is the "best"? HA!!!

A Yamaha C3 would be the best beginner for you.

A Suzuki GZ250 with Leatherlyke saddlebags would allow you to go freeway speeds. Either will give you the lockable storage you will need when parked at school.

The only way to make a sport bike or motard "best" would be to lie. A LOT. Lying to dad is generally not a good idea. Offer the C3, and if he accepts it at least you are riding instead of walking. Worry about a bigger bike next year.
 
Ask him what bike he thinks is the best and then sit down and compare the merits of the two. All the plastic on the ninja is it's Achilles heel. Makes it hard to get to the engine for regular maintenance, costs alot if you lay the bike down. But still you can make a good case for this bike against anything out there. But if I was your pop I would be pushing for a Suzuki DRZ motard, although it's a little much for a beginner. If he recommends a cruiser I think you can destroy him with the facts. But like women, facts just piss cruiser guys off.
