Germans have already influenced a lot in America. They contributed big roles in philosophy and sociology. Einstein who worked extensively on an Arabic idea which eventually became general relativity contributed to creating a source of power than isn't easily depleted. Ofcourse it also brought nukes. They contributed a lot of things actually. Music, food, cinema and architecture.
Whatever is a practical idea from any country will have already been assimilated by Americans to some extent. However, a lot of things are not shared.
