HOW BIG OF A CAPACITOR DO I NEED?

hey guys
i got
2 12 kicker cvr 400W rms/800 Max
Power Acoustik OV2-1600 amp, pushin 310 w rms @ 4ohm each chanel@ 2 channel amp)
sony headunit, 6x9 pioneer powerbasss serious 3way speakers,
6.5 dual speakers, 3 way

my question is,
how big of a cap would i need??
would 1.2 farad b a good size??or is a .5 Rockford Fosgate enough??

thanks 4 answering, but
im bout to get a new car, whrre im goiun 2 to thsose upgrades but for now and later use, i will get a cap, but will also do the upgrades on my new car. so i found a 1.2 farad cap by pyle, whould that be too big or could i use that>??thanks
 
Google ho alternator, and you will have your answer for your cars electrical system. A cap is really not needed, and would be a complete waste of money. Just judging from your gear, your not entering any DB Drag comps, so do not waste your money on a cap.
 
1 Farad would be good. But, your money would be better spent upgrading your charging system. A big 3 upgrade will do more to ease the strain than a cap will. Also, look into upgrading the alternator.
