What kind of parents never even care if their kids study or not? Most school kids in my neighborhood don't seem ever spending time on studying. I saw them everywhere right after school other then dinner time and bed time.
I live in East Los Angeles area where majority are Hispanic. I know there are good people and bad people in every race every place. However, we are living in a civil society. Don't those parents know that children need proper education to enrich their life and secure their future. Don't those parents know that you need to "study" to learn the knowledge but not just going to school?
I'm from a less developing country myself. My parents aren't educated at all and worked hard to raise the family. Unlike most poverty family here, poor parents usually are the most demanding ones about their children's education in my country. I guess those parents just want their children have better life.
Nevertheless, Most poverty Hispanic family don't think the same way as poor educated parents from my culture. I do fear for those kids' and America's future!
