Maybe they are in different language than understand. I use subtitles as much as can, since like to watch films with volume low.

I loved it. I thought it was original, parts were predictable but not all, like the ending...

Sorry, should have stated it was a remake

I'm not usually a fan of remakes, but I'm a fan of del Toro, so I'll probably go and see this.

i soooo can't wait for the new nightmare! *_____*

orphan = i couldn't wait for it to come out on dvd xD

recently i saw when a stranger calls (2006). well, it was more like a thriller. i really liked it and again, i don't get all the negative reviews -.-'' the suspance was undeniably there and the main character wasn't that stupid (don't know why girls in horror movies tend to be so silly).

I didn't find it boring at all.

I'm happy everbody loves "El Orfanato". It's really one of the best horror movies ever. :D

Reeling from his dismissal from a reality show, a deranged runner-up holds a group of co-eds hostage on the set of his own fictitious show, where losers suffer a deadly fate.

saw the preview for the new nightmare movie..when i was at the movies today..it looks awesome!

When I was a child it scared the ever loving crap out of me! Especially the beginning when the woman is pulled into it. Does it scare me now? No. I have to laugh at it because I think it's so bad. I haven't seen the most recent one though. I'll have to look it up :)

I haven't seen the original "The Haunting", but the remake was okay, the story was intriguing but again, like a lot of horror films, the story is great but not executed well enough.

I never have a problem with subtitles maybe because i'm European and I watch all films like this. It seems so natural to me. Why are people confused by subtitles? Just curious.

I actually really liked the second! I loved the story and the different complexities of each character.

I haven't seen the original myself, but I came across it when looking up info for the new one! :)

Plot for 1973 version:

A young couple inherits an old mansion inhabited by small demon-like creatures who are determined to make the wife one of their own.

Plot for 2011 version:

A young girl sent to live with her father and his new girlfriend discovers creatures in her new home who want to claim her as one of their own.

I went to grab the imdb summary but it's so long! I'm afraid to read through it and post it because I don't want to be spoiled if there are spoilers in there. But here is the trailer. BTW - it's directed by Guillermo del Toro
