The Haunting in Connecticut

Virgina Madsen, Elias Koteas, Kyle Gallner, Martin Donovan

Plot:

After a family is forced to relocate for their son's health, they begin experiencing supernatural behavior in their new home, which turns out to be a former mortuary.

It says it's based on a true story, but I googled it and the supposed family in which it's based, their claims cannot be proved, so for the sake of being sued, IMO, they give credit to the story idea coming from the supposed real family in which it's based.

I haven't seen the older trailer, but I look forward to watching it.

It's been difficult to watch horror movies lately because it's light outside until just after 10PM, so the mood isn't quite set you know!

3:10 to Yuma is a good example!

also Sleuth. I liked the remake better than the original. :)

Not necessarily, no. Most of my friends aren't into horror.. and I don't wanna go to the theaters alone.

Why is it so difficult to find good horror movies lately?

exactly...with the subtitles and everything trying to watch back and forth got me dizzy

Oh, I didn't know there is a prequel. :D

Can't wait to watch the trailer to Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark... this movie should be over in a bit. I hope.

State of Play - well-constructed political drama; there was a lot of information to keep up with and the twist at the end startled me, but I enjoyed it. Though I kind of wish Cal and Della had gottent together in the end.

^^ I agree. The idea behind it was good, but the execution of the movie was not too great.

The prequel, Vacancy: First Cut, was much better!

^^ Some found it confusing because of the subtitles, trying to read and see the imagery can throw you off if you're not used to foreign films.

But it was a fantastic story, well acted and a terrific cast!

Makes me want to watch it tonight!
