Cool a thread for Horror flicks...which I am a big fan!!!! The scariest movie I have seen it was The Exorcist and no other movie has come close to scare me like that movie and I have seen plenty of scary movies:

Black Christmas
Halloween 1&2 plus, the new ones from Rob Zombie
House of 1000 Corpses & Devil Rejects
13 Ghosts
April Fools
Night of The Living Dead
Texas Chain Masacre
Phantasm (all of them)
American Psycho
The Exorcist III(only one liked next to the original)
The Grave Dancers
Joy Ride
Fun House
etc....Can't remember

TV shows:
Friday the 13th the series
Tales from the Dark side
Monsters

^^ I can't believe you fell asleep, it was so raw and original and disturbing at times!

Did you not like it? The trailer kind of makes it something it's not but I personally think that he movie is awesome!

Tonight i'm seeing "Stir of Echoes" again. One of the best suspense, horror films in my opinion :)

The Skeleton Key and The Descent are among my favorite horror movies ever. I'll check out the rest. Thanks. ;)

From the old horror movies that I saw, I thought The Haunting was really cool.

Same here

But there are one or two remakes that are better than the originals.

When you have so many that are for it and just as many against it, it's one of those films that you may just have to watch for yourself to judge you know.

I could make one. PM what size you need.

I used to think the same about watching films with subtitles, but I do enjoy them.

American remakes can ruin a good film, but I have not seen the originals of The Grudge or The Ring, or The Eye for that matter, which the new version starring Jessica Alba just sucked!

OMG - I saw that trailer a few weeks ago and was sick to my stomach! Just thinking about it makes me dry heave a little  My friend is dying to see it so I'm probably going to end up going when he does

I can't really compare it to the original one because I haven't seen it. But I liked the remake, which doesn't happen quite often.

I'll probably watch The Last House on the Left this weekend. It has quite good note on imdb, so I hope it won't be too boring.

I agree! Not what I expected for the ending, it was just masterful!

I got my hands on the older version of "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark". When I watch, or after I should say, I will post a review!

They look so much alike they could be brother and sister :look: Do you have a bigger version of that? Maybe without the text? :flowers:

As for people not seeing a foreign film because of the subtitles? That's so lame and lazy. They are missing so many amazing films. I used to think I couldn't watch a film with subtitles because I'd miss something but it's never happened.

And I think that the original Grudge is way better and scarier than the American remake. I haven't seen the original Ring yet so I can't really comment on that one.
