So i hooked up two amps four speakers and a 10 in sub in my mazda. I was a dumbass and didn't unhook the negative battery cable. Anyway while i was changing the in-line fuse to the battery the cable came disconnected and touched the frame. ZAP! so i got it all put back together and went to start the car and it wouldn't even turn over. So i jump it and it starts right up and will run perfectly fine. (stereo sounds awesome too).I let it run for about half an hour ( to let alternator charge it) and when i turned the car off and tried to turn it on again i got nothing. I dont think that it is the battery because it will run fine even with the stereo playing. I checked all the fuses that i saw and none were blown. I dont know what else to do. Any help would be great.

It is your battery. You have too much electrical business. Get a battery that can hold the power of starting your car and your system. You don't use the battery when your car is on!

i would say battery or alternator. check your connections and make sure your amps aren't staying on while the car is off. there is a power cable to hook up to on the back of the radio that takes care of the power of the amps (forgot the name of it). if all else fails an esy way to check the alternator is to turn the car on and while it is running (in park) pull off a cable. since your car runs on your alternator the car will stay on if the alternator is ok. if the alternator is bad, the car will shut right off when you take a cable off. it sounds crazy, but it's an easy way to check.
