Holiday Movie Fans Thread - Just about that time of year again

Blues- no kidding, Im going to be so full from Thanksgiving. I will probably be rolling instead of walking :P

I like How the Grinch Stole Christmas, with Jim Carrey. It's such a good movie.

 Same with me, it's always the end that gets me.

Eddie is so funny and stupid.

Can I refill your eggnog for you? Get you something to eat? Drive you out to the middle of nowhere and leave you for dead?
Eddie: Naw, I'm doing just fine, Clark.

Never heard of that one  but it does sound interesting. I will have to give it a try sometime. I taped this tv movie that was on CBS last night called " Fallen Angel", I havent watched it yet but it sounds good. Has anyone seen it?

I need to re-watch that.

And I just recently bought Planes, Trains and Automobiles.. I need to watch that. It's such a funny holiday/travel movie!

It was really cute. You could check it out sometime. Im pretty sure they will be playing it on ABC family this year.

I rented Elf tonight and Im about to go watch it soon.

I hope you like it, it's so good. :sigh: I'll see if I can buy the DVD for less than $20. I'm sure it's not that expensive but if it is, I'll have to wait until it's not.

I'm sure that I have, but I just can't remember anything. What's some things that you can think of?

I have The Best of Will Ferrell on dvd. :D

I have quite the Christmas movies' collection, but I still have yet to own the Muppet's one. I need to get on that.

I watched Jingle All the Way last night....old school.

I remember that movie! The song they play about in The Christmas Shoes.

Here's the song to Christmas Shoes. Its so pretty!

I love Ernest scares stupid alot

I rememeber seeing it at grade school for the first time. I loved Kermit alot in it.

:lmao:

Great quotes!

The ending to the first quote you posted always cracks me up so much . I can see why he would have a headache after all that. And his cousin Eddie actually brought his boss to his house with a big red ribbon on him

It's the Ingmar Bergman film that's loosely based on his childhood. It's about his family and a particular time of life with his sister - it's REALLY good, and much more than a period piece foreign film. There are very surprising elements in it that includes the supernatural (I don't want to give too much away), but the opening scenes (and first hour or so - it's pretty long) take place during Christmas.

I agree!! i think its a combination of all the snow, the whole fantasy element, the red and gold gryffindor scarves (hehe, i love those) and they're great movies to watch as a family..

Another great movie being shown on 25 Days of Christmas: The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. I love that movie.. Heres a link to the full schedule too:
