HIGHEST fidelity car audio components?

You'll have to have the parts matched to your car and the car modified to realize all the advantage of the equipment. You cannot just stick a bunch of stuff in a car and have it be perfect. Cars are the very worst for listening to good sound.
 
Haha those aren't by any means high end speakers.

Take a look at Focal Utopia BE components, or Dynaudio speaker sets. DLS speakers sound really good and aren't really expensive.

But for me, I would use Dynaudio Esotec System 362, a McIntosh amplifier, and probably a 11" sub for the low frequencies.

As for the head unit, maybe Nakamichi or a DVD-Audio capable one.
 
Let's just say that money isn't a problem, and I had the means to make the best sounding car system. I'm curious to know which components sound THE BEST. I know this is somewhat a matter of opinon, so I'd like many of them. I know that JBL, JL, Boston, MB Quart, Polk, and Blaupunkt at least used to be known as very good. I know that last year JBL also won some SQ awards for some competition speakers. Give me say,,, the top three brands or so for SQ (not SPL) for mids, subs, amps, crossovers, head units, etc. Thanks! Feel free to include any high end brands I missed.
