High School Musical

Sharpay's also arguably the movie's most famous character, playing Maddie in Disney's The Suite Life.

As for it being on the BBC, probably not for AGES. All the kiRAB in schools all over the place will be talking about it after it's been on Disney - those waiting for it on the Beeb will miss out.

I've got bored of the film just from hearin the TV trailers being bashed out every 2 minutes even when I watch ABC1 I cant escape the bloody trailers and I'm gettin sick of that we're breaking free song too

The second lead female and nominal villan (Shapary) is the real stand out. She may not have the best voice or acting skills, but she has personality coming out of the wazoo, and genuine comedic skills. For me it was her (and her brother's) over-the-top musical numbers that provided the greatest entertainment value.
Sharpay and Ryan were the two that kept me intrested throughout the film, I admit that i'm not a fan of 'Breaking Free' and am a much bigger fan of Bop To The Top (although my absolute fave is Stick To The Status Quo). I think that Ashley Tisdale kinda stole the show because of the way that HSM was marketed, they always said her name first and it was always 'Starring The Suite Life Of Zack And Cody's Ashley Tisdale...' I think that Lucas Grabeel is really overlooked in this film and outside of HSM. All other cast members except Zac and Lucas weren't offered record deals (Zac didn't want one) whereas I think that Lucas had the best voice in the musical. Altough I am excited to see that he has a new song coming out and the video will be featured on the upcoming 'Fox And The Hound' DVD. Also Ashley will be on the Little Mermaid DVD, with her cover of 'Kiss The Girl'. I admit I do like her version of this song much more than her version of 'Someday My Prince Will Come' on Disneymania 4.

Is anyone else looking forward to tonight?

Its on at 6pm tonight!

I think it will be quite good, although im almost 19 (4 days to go!!!) I still think i will enjoy it and that it will be an easy film to watch with a bowl of popcorn and a glass of wine on a friday evening!!

I have spoken to someone who saw it in America and the general impression I got was that it's a great family movies with younger kiRAB or even some older ones. Don't go into it expecting a modern Grease, go into it expecting what its been billed at , a disney version of Grease, and you'll be satisfied.

On the 29th of Dec on the BBC.
I love the film.

I hate the Sharpays persons voice. So squeaky and horrible.
Her brother, IMO, is the best singer in the film.

Im also annoyed there are no outtakes etc on the DVD

Got my Remix edition DVD (from Ebay) a couple of days ago and to tell you the truth, it's a waste of 2 discs as all the features are short enough to feature on 1 disc! But its still better than the Encore edition.

You can also get the Remix DVD from Play USA.
