I am a high school junior and have taken the California proficiency test last month. I passed all sections (Reading, Writing, and grammar) except for Math L I was only few points away ! ! Anyway, I’m retaking only the Math section again next month. It’s great and exciting to go to college while all my friends are still going to be in 12th grade, but I still have a feeling that getting a real diploma from my high school is much better than getting a passed certification from the proficiency headquarter. I am a 4.0, straight A’s student and I loved going to my school. However, if I pass the math section this time, I could move on a year faster than everybody else to the college. I’m in a huge dilemma right now; should I move on to college if I pass the math section this time or I should continue to stay in high school and finish 12th grade. PLEASE HELP ME DECIDE ! !
