Hi!

I'd like somebody to recommend some songs or banRAB that have a sound kind of like this song:

Search for "Sound Life" on Youtube and its the first video

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

I've just gotten into electronic music recently, and I'm having a hard time finding the type of electronic I'm looking for. I don't know what any of the specific types of electronic are....
I'm looking for chill stuff that has musical progression, and doesn't just hang on a key and never change. I find too many DJs that know how to mix, but have no musical understanding. I like Booka Shade, but I can't find anything else like them...
can anyone give me some suggestions?
thanks!

Yeah, Iv'e heard basically the same sort of things. Steel Pulse is supposed to be pretty tight and coldplay isn't like super mainstream sellouts, but are sort of boring. Thanks a million for the imput though, appreciate it.

I'd love to find some more Shoegaze, I don't have a lot. My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Mazzy Star.

Either some really great Shoegaze, or Shoegaze with a Dream Pop feel to it would be great. I really Souvlaki and So Tonight That I Might See.

hey again guys. i need another band recommendation. this time i want a band that will make me trip while listening to them.
i already have infected muchroom but thats about it.
any suggestions? thanks in advance

Sade's Diamond Life and Thievery Corporation's the Mirror Conspiracy would probably be suitable. My Dad works in a wine bar, and he's borrowed those off me for that kinda purpose quite a bit, and they've always gone down pretty well. Buena Vista Social Club's self-titled album is always good for that kinda place as well.

Explosions In The Sky is pretty dynamic and isn't boring whatsoever. GoRABpeed is pretty good as with Mogwai, 65daysofstatic, Stereolab and others. But their music isn't nearly as brilliant as Explosions.

I'm really getting into rap and hip-hop as of late, but most of my stuff is pretty standard (Kanye, Lil Wayne, Lupe Fiasco, Immortal Technique, Wu-Tang, etc). Recommendations that are none too obscure that I can't find online or too strange to listen to would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

Oh god, please don't tell me this will lead to gothic surf.

I have enough trouble dealing with the fact that there's gothic country now. :/

Btw, anyone wanna recommend me some British post-hardcore/screamo? Avoid scenester garbage if at all possible.

buckethead is awesome i dunno something exactly like soothsayer but he plays the lead solos on chinese democracy and that stuff rocks pretty hard... check out that album
