HEY NOOBS! Want a band or song recommendation? Don't start a new thread post here

hi guys , did my first post get deleted by any chance?
i`m looking for a sogn i heard but unfortunately didnt manage to get much lyrics out of it

what i know is
1) girl voice
2) i believe its pop or r'n'b (not sure though)
3) lyrics >
i think she sings in the song twice i think. one in middle one in the end. "ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh ahhhhhhhhh ahhhhhhh"
i also remeraber "take me _____ place ahh etc..." i think thats how it is.

unfortunately i dont have much info

I need some dark, depressing yet at the same time uplifting, reverbey, echoey, folky acoustic strumming with undertones of drone, unsettlingly beautiful. Something like Angels of Light, Flying Saucer Attack, Slowdive, or kind of Spacemen 3. Anyone up to the challenge?

thank you. but actually i was hoping to find something in this genre, not so much the lyrics... (my bad)

Any takers? I'm not into the dance club scene. so it's hard for me to pick this type of music out :)

Could someone please recommend me some music? I don't really have a genre or mood in mind, so feel free to hit me with anything. Artists are fine, but if you have a particular album in mind, that's even better.

There's my last.fm to give you an idea of what I currently like. Some stuff I enjoy isn't represented too well by the charts at the moment (death metal, jazz, etc.), but oh well.

Also, there's my RYM if you prefer. It's probably a bit more of a pain to look through, but gives you a better idea of exactly what I like and dislike, as well as what I already own/want.

I found them not to be a band you just listen to one album and be taken with it, it took me a while to really 'get them' but after time I just found myself drawn to them, Goo in particular but they have a lot of solid albums. I'd suggest giving it a few listens if you're looking to get into SY.

Thank you Pianogirl! I saw your post just now, so I'm listening to her at the moment. Hadn't heard her before. I love the "Ghosts" song, really cool. I'm getting excited about this whole dilly. I don't know a lot of alternative artists, because I haven't put much effort in finding or researching them. But I'll have to get to it.

i like the guitar work in children of bodom alot. im looking for something similar but i dont really care if it has the screaming sad man along with it.
