hey guys, just joined the forum. i think its great already.

i'd like to request some really catchy songs, any genre really! i'd also like some very deep songs, like stairway to heaven for example.

so yeah, catchy and or deep. :)

im looking for some good sleep music. something kinda slow. i thought trance was like that but all the stuff i heard was really fast and hard hitting. anything is cool. trance, techno, techtonkic.

also what do you recomend with female vocals. i love chick vocals. give a whole new depth to the song i think.

fav song is one desire by mondotek

cheers

P.S if theres another thread like this or this is the wrong area i appologize i couldnt find it

You should definitely check out Tom Waits. His work from the 80s (especially Rain Dogs) has a very avant-garde and experimental sound to it.

Okay all you music fienRAB, I've been searching for a band with a certain style to no avail, so I'm going to list the genres I'd like in the band and I also have an album that fits almost perfectly (It's my favorite album)

so Genre(s):

-Rock
-Southern (not country per se)
-Minor key
-preferably female lead vocalist
-Slow moving songs are fine, but I definitely wouldn't mind something with a bit of energy.
-I'd prefer, how do I say this, ummm, lyrics that don't involve Jesus or God. I know southern and christianity go hand in hand, but....it sort of takes me out of the music.

Album:

Frustration Plantation - Rasputina

Use the album to get a feel of what I'd like, but don't get too caught up by the lack of instruments, I don't mind more than just cellos, believe me. I hope someone can help, I know that's a hard order to fill, I've looked, haha.

Already have Celtic Frost and Voivod. I've heard Akphaezya somewhere down the line but I don't remeraber enjoying them. Maudlin of the Well I have not yet heard, will check out.

I'll check 'em out. Thanks.
