HEY NOOBS! Want a band or song recommendation? Don't start a new thread post here

for my playlist. I am in a really hurt and angry mood and my ipod isn't helping me out with a new band to listen to. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Below are some music genres that I either enjoy or believe I would enjoy. So I am just curious who are some banRAB/singers I should check out.I am mainly tired of being one of those people I despise who says they like a certain genre, but only really know a small amount of banRAB in that genre. So help me sink my teeth in these genres.Who knows maybe I or someone else might find things they might like they wouldn't have other wise.

I've often toyed with the idea of MGMT, but something always puts me off... they sound kinda cool, but I think they might veer into areas of music that plain don't appeal to me....

I'm not exactly an expert. Mule Variations, Bone Machine and Heart Of a Saturday Night are my current favourites though, so I guess you can't really go wrong grabbing them for yourself.

I need another Pink Floyd album.

Keep in mind that I really like the darker, synth-heavy Pink Floyd.

I have heard:
Dark Side Of The Moon
Wish You Were Here
Meddle
Animals
Piper At The Gates Of Dawn
The Wall

So I watched the movie Twilight the other day with the girlfriend. Im 29 year old guy, wasnt into the movie, but there was a song in it which caught my attention.

After doing some digging, I was dismayed to learn it was sung by Mr. Robert "El Pompadour" Pattinson. The song is called "Let me Sign" (I'd love to post a link but cant as this is my first post)

Now I can't very well drive around listening to the Twilight soundtrack, so can anyone recommend anything similar to this style of music...I know Ive heard its like before...

Thanks!

Alright, so yeah gettin' hitched and I need some help finding the right song for the Bride/Groom first dance. I really like FLYLEAF's So I Thought musically but the lyrics clearly don't fit. Does anyone know of a song that sounRAB very similar but has more romantic lyrics?

As far as U2.... i like em. dont love em, dont hate em. Their older stuff appeals to me more i guess. I realize for alot of people they are a huge band but they still have alot of growing to do on me. I feel like sometimes their songs build and build and build and then it never hits what my expectations are ready for. Some of their songs do but some dont.

That being said, there is alot of U2 that i have still yet to hear so my opinion could easily change!

I'm looking for a specific type of music, and I must be doing something wrong .

I was looking for something that is a mix of the old japanese/chinese music, the stuff that sounRAB really old, stuff played on the old traditional type instruments and mixed with some techno, trance, or something similiar.

I don't mind if it's free or I have to pay for it, either is fine. I was in China before and got to hear some stuff like that in a bar, can't get it out of my head.

I'd just like to know what it's called so I might have an easier time finding it.
