HEY NOOBS! Want a band or song recommendation? Don't start a new thread post here

Somebody recommend me some super experimental hip hop/glitch hop. Im already well versed on the likes of Antipop Consortium, Dalek, Prefuse 73, edIT and cLOUDDEAD (im familiar with Anticon in general, dont recommend any artists from Definitive Jux either). I need more. Some albums as well as names would be appreciated.

Definitely look into some Soundgarden. You'd also like The Stone Temple Pilots although I don't.
If you into more of the Grunge-y stuff, try Mudhoney and let me know if you like them and I could show you some more gGrunge.

MGMT is exactly what you're looking for.

Im Making a slideshow for junior varsity football, I need a list of upbeat songs that would compliment this subject. Any thoughts and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Ideas I already have:

Eminnace Front- The who
Dont stop me now- Queen
Paridise City- Guns n Roses

~Thanks~

Ok cool, I have quite a bit of John Mayall and Jeff Beck already. But I will certainly check out your other reco. Thanks Jackhammer.

Ok I will listen and let you know how it goes. Thanks.

hey don't really know to many banRAB and i never really bothered to put many songs on my ipod. so i wanted to know if you guys could help me get a play list going I'm into rock and roll and some alternative music. my favorite band is the red hot chile peppers. i kind of like that type of music nothing too loud and people screaming. so if you guys could come up with a decent playlist something that could get me into music that would be great.

thanks

Could someone recommend me a band?

Something like a lo-fi garage punk band that sounRAB somewhat like Pavement, minus the pop. I really like that fuzzy bass sound that comes with garage banRAB by the way.

I appreciate the suggestion :D Despite the genre being something I can't stand, there's always exceptions to it, so it was worth a listen.

6 or 7 minutes for a track is just too excessive :(

Sheik Yerbouti
Overnite Sensation
One Size Fits All
Jazz From Hell
Weasels Ripped My Flesh

Get Captain Beefheart's Doc At the Radar Station while you're at it too.
