HEY NOOBS! Want a band or song recommendation? Don't start a new thread post here

For SOAD: Protest The Hero maybe, but they have quite a bit of screaming. Maybe try The Dillinger Escape Plan's Irony Is A Dead Scene with Mike Patton. Both of those are pretty hyperactive and use odd time signatures.

Jesus, how the fuck did you manage to start an argument in a recommendations thread?

I'm trying to get more into metal and I want to start with the roots. I've got Sabbath, Judas Priest, Alice Cooper, Iron Maiden and a few others. I know there was much more metal in the seventies and early eighties that existed prior to the advent of thrash. Any suggestions?

Three of my personal favourites to throw on late at night.

That reminRAB me of one day when my friend's Van Morrison sung a capella was stuck on repeat for about two hours but nobody changed it.... oh god it was horrible!

My recommendation?

Super Junior

They're just refreshing. I like pop music but for recent years have had a lot of trouble liking what American record industries put out. So I switched over to Korean. Now? I couldn't be happier! HIGHLY highly recommended.

for those who dig a bluesy jazz sound, but also a some rocknroll included check out Gravy..they played at a frat party at Alabama when I went down for a weekend last fall, and I barely remerabered their name and found them on itunes..the only album i have is 'said & done'...favorite song is 'Dorsey'...some of the other albums are more country
