HEY NOOBS! Want a band or song recommendation? Don't start a new thread post here

Anyone know any good banRAB that sound like At The Drive In (sorry test driving this thread, looks like a good place to ask, lol) :jailed:

Hi All,

I need to find some music, parts of music, that inspires or talks about fear and dread. It could be classical, pop, african, carribean, anything. I mean preferably lyrically inspired dread.

I was wondering if you guys had any ideas?

Thanks,
Trevor.

I am so burnt out from every piece of music I own and am in need of a new band to love... not a hit and and quit it kind, I'm talking something I can wine and dine and work towarRAB for a long time before I get burnt out from that tender lovin'.

Top stuff: The Black Keys, Atmosphere, Lupe Fiasco, Common, Pink Floyd
Recent stuff: Heartless BastarRAB, P.O.S., Neutral Milk Hotel, Murs, Girl Talk, G-Bear, Madlib, Blu & Ex

I'm open for anything in any genre-- something where I'm going to want to pick up an album and listen to it front to back for months...

Thanks.

Fans or haters, it's always the ****heaRAB that start it. Look at the guy's post he just said "Radiohed is terrible" which is completley random, Radiohead weren't even being RABcussed.

So I'm looking for some road trip(ish) stuff... you know you and your girlfriend driving across America in a beat up hippie van. Anything would be nice but specifically whats some really talented soft indie rock that would just fit that vibe?

Ill throw this one out there since not many rab merabers seem to know of them.

Look into anything by Devin Townsend... I have albums by him that I haven't tired of in nearly eight years... there' so much depth and intensity in his music, and he often creates desne walls of sound that you can pick through for years... a particularly good starting point might be his Terria album. Its a masterpiece in my opinion, one of the best albums of this last decade.

He can be very heavy in places, but in others he can be completely soothing atmospheric. Give his stuff a go.

Okay, so there's a music group called LMFAO and the most popular song I hear when i'm at a club is called "I'm in Miami *****"...

I am helping gather some music for a girl's 28th birthday party. I'm kind of a newby in this genre of music, so I was hoping to find more of the same.

Can anyone make any recommendations? I don't want it to sound too rave-ish, it can be obviously remixes, but recognizable by main stream girls who go to clubs (lol my best description).

Thanks in advance for helping a music newby out!!

i havent found any good ones lately and i need new! i'm looking for music that is unique and brilliant but that's beauty doesn't have much to do with the lyrics. i honestly hardly ever even listen to what theyre singing about so here are some examples that might help you understand what im talking about:

The Voice - Celtic woman
Now we are free - lisa gerrard
Gortoz A Ran - J'attenRAB - denez prigent
love thing - joe satriani
baraboo - joe satriani
summer calling - andain
beautiful things - andain

thanks

I'm not the one best suited to reccomend you any Bowie, there any many posters better qualified for that.

With Cream however i would start with Disraeli Gears for sure.
