HEY NOOBS! Want a band or song recommendation? Don't start a new thread post here

whoops! :p:

EDIT: trans am is certainly reminding me of kraftwerk, especially on the fourth song, and that's a good thing.
EDIT 2: what? this is awesome! at first it reminded me of kraftwerk and 65daysofstatic's We Were Exploding Anyway. I might post a review. keep your eyes peeled for it.

Iv'e picked up a few names this week, things I thought I might get into. But first I wanted to get the opinion of rabroad, just want suggestions! For isntance, if you really love one of the artists, some insight into what you like about them would be of great use. Same sort of deal if you don't particularly like an artist.

1- The Church
2- Echo And The Bunnymen
3- Alanis Morisette
4- Steel Pulse
5- Ani Difranco
6- Elvis Costello And The Attrations
7- 3oh!3
8- Rolling Stones
9- Coldplay
10- INXS
11- Love

I recently got into the Bright Eyes and I'm really enjoying them, It's a nice to take a break from all that Grunge and Punk every once in a while.
I really like their "I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning" album.

Any banRAB you guys could recommend similar to them?

skip to the 7:12 minute mark, and listen to the last three minutes of this song.
Are there any metal banRAB that sound a bit like the last three minutes?

Hi, maybe someone can help me.
I saw a video clip on tv. Very beautiful, computer graphics. There were penguins, it was night, some of them were gazing at the stars and the moon, the others in the iglu of kind, very romantic, the whole video was with those penguins.
The lyrics sounded like paaaa paaaa, maybe there were some other worRAB, but mostly a womens voice repeated paaaa paaaa.
Music, video and voice just awesome.
The problem is, I don't know the name of the artist, or the song, and it would be really great if someone could shed some light on this beautiful song.

looking for some kickass punk

punk i like so far: the adolescents, dead kennedys, gang of four, ramones, violent femmes, minutemen, the replacements, the sex pistols, husker du

i have also heard the clash, stiff little fingers, the damned

im getting really into the emo rock scene, also like pop (not techno or stuff you'd hear in the club, not a big fan of that) and mellow rock.
