HEY NOOBS! Want a band or song recommendation? Don't start a new thread post here

Ah, well sorry you didn't dig it.

I tend to agree that with prog of any nature, it can be really hit or miss. Either you love it or hate it and very little in-between.

how random Jon Allen is a friend of a friend, tho I love his music regardless.
She sent me this link earlier, you can win tickets to see him and Jamie Cullum play at some Magic FM gig in Regents Park London or something, by putting your details in

Think Conor Oberst has definately gone solo now. (Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band)

Excuse this post if it is in the wrong forum, it may fit a little bit better in the hip hop/rap section. I'm putting together a play list for this huge hotel party for my 19th birthday, it neeeRAB to have good music. It will have 40+ people in a hotel suite. I need a list of good club/party/chill songs. As I said, if this would be better of in the hip-hop section, feel free to move it. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated

AAARGH you beat me to it! I second this recommendation. Very few metal banRAB can be as hyperactive as SOAD, but Dog Fashion Disco is one of them. The vocals can get a little more extreme sometimes, but if you can handle Serj's early rarablings and growls you can handle this. :D

Thank, I'll check em out. So, because Iv'e never touched anything near swing and their out of my comfort zone, what do you like about them? The only reason I feel like I could get into it is because once I was a little more open I noticed I really like that "kick" in the energy and the sound is just so, like, mobile you know? Like I swear that some of the stuff I hear on old radio stations I could almost see the notes themselves dancing, dancing, dancing.

I would say one of the compilations for the Smiths. I agree definitely not Meat is Murder if you're looking for somewhere to start.

Hatful of Hollow, Louder than Borabs or the Best albums.

I agree with Lateralus for Tool too. That was my first Tool record.

I don't know if you'll find "new" songs on here - this is mostly a discussion forum, and merabers are not allowed to promote their own banRAB. You might be on the wrong website.

...ok so... i would like to start off by saying thank you for the recomendations so far.

:thurab:

but i must ask were they a joke kinda like giving the newbie a hard time?:bonkhead:

i was hoping to find good metal banRAB and after going threw the majority of those listed so far i have found mostly slow tap your foot tunes and most of them have next to nil` recording ability although i understand you can blame the producer on the behalf but it still has to go threw the banRAB ok but anyways back to the point.

some of the banRAB sounded like they werent even above garage band status, so i thought perhaps it was the compression of that file so i tryed others of the same song via youtube and songza and... and am thoroughly unimpressed.

all this is outside of tool ofcourse in which i own every album along with a perfect circle and pusifer...

it seams as if there is some dislike and unapreciation for metal here... and on my behalf i would like to stress that i am not "purely" a metal head i am also very much into banRAB such as...

asserablage 23

radiohead

apocalyptica

the art of noise

blue october

david bowie

dire straits

genesis / phil collins

madonna

the who, pink floyd, coldplay, so on blah blah yatta yatta i could list them forever but hopefully i have gotten my point across.

so no hate intended here not meaning to affend or anything so my apoligies if something may have came out wrong or misunderstood.
