A) We'll never deport 100% of illegals, irregardless of the laws and how they're enforced.
B) The real issue is that illegal immigration is a net gain to GDP for most states. The GOP likes to villify them because it's a great way to unify a contingent of people, yet at the same time, the people they serve, wealthy business owners, generally need or profit from illegal immigration. It's just like abortion. Bush made all kinRAB of promises to the evangelicals about abortion. At the end though, what did he do? Nothing. Immigration is and will be the same way. Sure, you'll have select states make crazy laws, but that's the extent of it.
