 I'm a big fan of Scarlett's too, so I might be biased, but I find it surprising that there is a lack of empathy for her character - she wanted the one she couldn't have because he ultimately made her unhappy, and she could have the one she didn't want, and thus lost a good friend. What a crappy situation
As for Gigi, I loved her, I was so embarassed for her mostly, but she seemed to vocalise things that go on in my head
I liked Beth/Neil and Alex/Gigi the other three well played well but there the characters that are supposed to portray the realationship where people are not that into each other so I didn't have an opinion on that realationship between Scarlett/Bradly/Jennifer triangle cause it was destined to be doomed, especially when you read the guide book of He is Just Not that into you the other is very much against cheating and infidelity so the movie addressed that with no exceptions
I agree with most of that. I've only seen Gennifer in Mona Lisa Smile before. She did really well here.
Scarlett's one of my favorites (and a girl crush). I wish her character had more depth.
Connelly owned it, but I don't think she was crazy, just fed up.
Justin was great.
I thought Drew's character didn't add much.
Ben was really, really good, and so was Jennifer Aniston.
So, I saw it today and loved it. Totally want to see it again.
And yep, I loved Beth/Neil and Alex/Gigi. Conor was cute............I loved in the credits when it showed him and Mary. That was adorable. I can't wait for the DVD.
And yeah, I hated what Ben did, but Bradley Cooper is hot, hot, hot.
The thing that redeemed Gigi in the end, at least for me, was her kind heart. But yeah, there were times, like when she was taping the card back together, where you just wanted to roll your eyes at her, lol.
Neil and Alex still own my heart when it comes to this movie. I want a Neil so badly! :bawl: :sigh:
I had mixed emotions about this movie. Yes, it entertained me and I found it amusing, yet I found that it did point out truths that can happen in relationships. It also made me a bit sad, but that might just be because of a recent "break up" of sorts for me and it just made me wonder so many other things.
Gabriela, welcome; added you. I agree, about Janine moving on in the end. I'm just so glad she stood up for herself! I cheered when I saw her 'P.S., I want a divorce.' I was like, you go girl!
LostEvi, you were already added.
Maria, welcome, ;added you. I love your avie/sig! :sigh:
As far as Neil goes, I want a Neil!
I think it's cool Justin/Ginnifer worked together before on Ed. I haven't really seen much of that though.
HJNTIY is not really a fictional book, right? I thought I had skimmed it before and it was just a bunch of stories from women...kind of like a self-help book.
Yeah Ginnifer and Justin are really good friends because they starred on Ed together. Warren and Diane. I loved them on that show. I wish it was out on DVD.
