well, here in the Philippines the government is currently developing their "bailout" plan like that of U.S. However, there are some questions as to how the "supposedly budget" will be utilized, because you know, the Philippine government is not that credible enough in dealing with money matters. especially government projects.
There had also been massive laying-off of industrial workers to compensate different company's loss.
The government is also increasing their budget in micro-financing. meaning, they increased the funding to lend the public money for them to start up small businesses so that they would be self-sufficient and wouldn't depend on the government for the provision of new jobs to those who were laid-off.
and the government (especially the president) is busy visiting other countries and talking with different leaders and convincing them to hire skilled and unskilled workers from the Philippines to help further in the economic crisis. in fact. the secondary source of Philippines budget comes from Dollar Remittances that OFW's (Overseas Filipino Workers) send to their families at home.
