Ok, i want to get some speakers for when i have parties. i don't want to spend a ton of money. I have found some speakers that are a pair and have 15 inch woofers. They have 700 Watts RMS per pair & 1400 Watts Max per pair And the Sensitivity is 94db with 25-30,000 Hz Frequency Response
It requires an amp. ( I heard i should get an amp that is 3 times the RMS watts; is that true or should i get more watts or less for the amps).
Do the speakers have enough watts to make me feel the bass? (like a concert) or is it not enough. i want to know what to expect so i know exactly what i am getting.
Also, they are 3 way speakers... what does that mean?
My last question is, what do i hook them up to? how many watts would the stereo have to be or what ever to get the full effect. (i doubt an Emerson stereo that cost 100 dollars at kmart would work) If you find anything i could connect an ipod to or stereo and connect my ipod to that, could you tell me? thanks
p.s. sorry for all the questions
it says the amp can produce no less than 300 watts max at 8ohm. so if i got more then 300 say... 1000, is that good enough or would 2100 watts be worth it? thanks again
