I want to get a tattoo with an image (maybe a flower?) and the Samoan word for "family". I've looked online and found that the word is "aiga", however before I get this on my body permanently, I'd at least like to know how to pronounce it. Can anyone tell me? Is this the correct word? Is there a more accurate word, or a "better" word?
My grandmother was from Samoa, however she died years before I was born and I know nothing about her or her culture. I want my first tattoo to be meaningful and have something to do with my family with ties to Samoa. I'm wondering what suggestions all you creative people have for me. =)
