I have just bought a 2003 Vauxhall Zafira which is fitted with a Grundig radio/casette player.
Is it at all possible that I can buy a radio/cd player and fit it into the recessed area where the current radio is? The radio at present is a standard rectangular one, and not a dedicated shape or anything.

Yes, since it's a standard Din size, most aftermarket models will fit. It's just a matter of wiring it in. There are companies that sell wire harness adapters that plug into you car's wiring harness after you attach it to the new unit.

yeah its easy if the slot is the correct size.

you need to buy a set of leads which will allow you to join an aftermarket cd player to the vauxhall radio loom.

just search for something like ISO to Vauxhall Adapter on eBay.

should only cost about £10

yes , your local car Stereo shop will have the tools to remove the existing radio and will also help you with the dimensions for the new unit.
