Help with car audio hook ups?

I have a 12 watt amp hookup kit and i have everything hooked up except for a small blue wire..i have the one to the battery and the ones from my amp to my sub but what am i missing...HELP!!!

that blue wire is your remote wire.....your amp is not going to work with out that...good luck!
