Help with car audio, amps, subs, etc.?

Nothing

I have two aura bass shaker pro's, but I dont have an Amp yet. I am confusing myself with their ratings when trying to select an amp. They are 4 ohm drivers rated at 50w rms, 100w max. I am planning on putting one under each front seat. I can only find 2 channel amps in that power range, but have a few basic questions about wiring.

1) Most amps are rated at 4 ohms, some stable down to 2 ohms. Since my drivers are such low power, I know I dont want to wire them in parallel. Would most standard amps be able to handle an 8 ohm load if I were to wire them in series?

2) If the amp were able to handle an 8 ohm load, would I be correct in thinking that since they are in series the power handling capabilities would double? (to 100watts rms, 200 watts max)

3) would this also mean that I would be able to get a slightly larger amplifier?

4) lastly, is there any problem running just one channel of a 2ch amp? or do the channels need to be balanced somehow?

I appreciate any help anyone can lend me.

PS I am not interested in having a high powered subwoofer. I would like to keep the stock head unit, and keep all of my trunk space. The amp and bass shakers would all fit under the drivers and passengers seats, so please dont suggest that i get a real sub, or that i need more power.
