help with a sony 1000 watt amp?

If i buy a 1000 watt sony 2 channel amp for $80 is this a good deal. also it is used. but i'm buying it from a person i can trust. i jus wanna know if it is a good amp
 
I disagree with the other answer as long as it works it doesn't suck I have a Sony Xplod amp and its 1000 watts and it hits harder than a 1400 watt Boss amp now that says something. And Ive had my amp for 3 1/2 years now and still works without a flaw.
 
I dont think its a good deal. Sony is crap. And i know you can do much better for that price.
