Help me understand car audio! PLEASE?

Ok so im getting a ford focus next week. I know I know... its a pussy car but its transportation so im happy. I don't want to turn it into a ricer or anything so im not going to add any little gay ass bolt on mods. BUT... I would like to add a kick ass stereo for around $1000. What is everything that i need, and could you send me links for good subs an an amp/anything else i need. Thanks
 
Go to sonicelectronix.com or go to your local car audio store. You will need
1. subwoofers 2. subwoofer box/enclosure 3.amplifier 4. amplifier wiring kit
Look for brands such as kicker, MTX, rocksford fosgate, pioneer (premier), JL Audio, Audiobanh and kenwood.
